Enoch Canlas is currently a Class 16 student in the Quality Assurance Track. He gained proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript, and is currently studying Python to further develop his Back-End development skills. His Year Up instructors and colleagues have described him as a leader, personable, and go-getter. He earned these descriptions because he is always on site early; he is always there ready to greet everyone with a warm smile and a handshake. He won a Strive to Learn Award which was given to students that displayed hunger for knowledge. He organizes events to further develop not only his professional career, but also takes time to better his colleagues’ personal growth. Some of which was the photo shoot event for LinkedIn profiles, followed by mock Informational Interviews. Outside of Year Up, he is interested in robotics, cooking, and chess. Moving forward, Mr. Canlas hopes to continue bettering his knowledge of coding by fully mastering Java and C++, and expanding on his current skills will aid him in his efforts to become a software engineer. Ultimately, Mr. Canlas plans to have an upward trajectory towards a career as a full stack web developer.
